A Beautiful Spring Wedding in Fredericksburg
Spring is such a good time to get married in Fredericksburg. The greenery around the Inn at Old Silk Mill was fresh and full, making the perfect backdrop for portraits. Plus, the gold accents throughout the day looked so good against all that green.
The Inn at Old Silk Mill is already a beautiful wedding venue, but spring really brings it to life. Outside, the greenery gives you plenty of natural options for portraits without needing to go far from the venue. Meanwhile, the historic character of the property gives the entire day a timeless feel.

Jesse and Jen’s wedding felt personal from beginning to end. Their gold details worked beautifully with their spring color palette. Then, the reception brought plenty of moments that felt completely them.
Their speeches were incredibly sweet and full of genuine emotion. The groom even joined the band to play bass, which was such a fun surprise for everyone. And because every great party needs something unexpected, they had a personalized rubber duck claw machine for their guests.
We loved how none of these details felt like they were there just for the sake of having something different. Every part of the day reflected Jesse and Jen’s personalities.
A Wedding Night to Remember
Then came one of our favorite moments of the night. The bride changed into a very cold dress to help get the party going, and it definitely worked.
After an energetic reception, Jesse and Jen ended their wedding day with a carriage exit. It was such a fun way to wrap up a day that was equal parts romantic, joyful, and completely personal.
